"More Love to Thee"

Really.....How precious is the Lord Jesus Christ to us?....Some have given, and are giving, all!!

"In 1974, a North Korean newspaper article proclaimed the government had finally killed off the last remnant of Christian believers in the country. The article claimed the last remnant was a group of twenty-nine people who literally lived under the ground. These brave believers would sleep underground during the day. At night they would leave their hiding place to collect tree roots and other things they could eat.
In 1972, it was announced that Kim Il Sung would visit a certain village, near the hiding place of these courageous Christians. Because the "Great Leader" was afraid of heights and didn't like to fly, he would need to travel by car; therefore, village leaders began to work on making a new, top-quality road for Kim to drive on.
During construction, they uncovered the hiding place of the underground Christians.
When the leaders determined that the people they had found were followers of "the God of heaven," four of them were immediately hanged. The rest were told to lie down on the road, and the officials ordered a steamroller to run over the prostrate Christians. To maximize the pain, the steamroller started by rolling over their feet and then upward toward their heads.
As the Christians awaited their death, one of them began to sing. Soon the others joined their voices. The song they sang in Korean was one familiar to American Christians: "More Love to Thee."

"More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear thou the prayer I make on bended knee.
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ to
Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Once earthly joy I craved, sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, give what is best.
This all my prayer shall be: More love, O Christ
to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Let sorrow do its work, come grief or pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers, sweet their refrain,
When they can sing with me: More love, O
Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Then shall my latest breath whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry my heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be: More love, O
Christ to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

"These brave Christians had lived underground for almost two decades, choosing to follow Christ instead of a man who said he was a god. One can only imagine the thoughts of Korean officials who watched them die with such courage and dignity, and the welcome these believers must have received in eternity!"

Psa 116:15-19 ESV
(15) Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
(16) O LORD, I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant. You have loosed my bonds.
(17) I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
(18) I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
(19) in the courts of the house of the LORD, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!
